That is so beautiful, Dioneo, both haiku and photo. That's what makes your blog a destination site, your talent, your creativity, your heart. Thank you.
Wonderful thought. I have to admit when I saw the picture I started to recoil and then I read the words and I was ashamed of myself. A beautiful and valid point. Thank you.
I too am ashamed. The haiku and the sentiment are beautiful. But when I looked at the picture, my first thought was, "Shoot me. NOW."
I am far too hung up on aging and visuals, I'm afraid. :-( Wish I could be like the rest of you, but I guess that's my shortcoming (well, one of them, anyway).
Thank you, Kirsti! In this kitchen, we strive for the best mix of sweetness and spice!
Thank you, Erica! I think most of us probably reacted similarly at first, but I ultimately think the couple is beautiful for how they celebrate their love for each wrinkly, saggy other. May we all be like this when we get to their age!
Love is in the air from that mature kissing couple. But believe me, when that elderly lady errs, her old man wallops that bare bottom of hers, most vividly red.
I can't tell whether it's the love that blinded my eyes or...
ReplyDelete...nevermind. It's the love. Nice sentiment (and picture).

ReplyDeleteThis is the most beautiful picture so far that I have seen for Valentine's day.
ReplyDeleteThank you, and hope you have a wonderful Valentine's day yourself.
I agree...this photo wins hands down, as does the sentiment.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day, Dioneo!
Hope you had a happy valentine's Dioneo

Thank you, B'Man! Love is indeed blinding. Maybe that's for the best as we all get older.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Michael! I appreciate your kind words very much, especially given how much I admire your blog.
Thank you, Hedone! You're quite the haikuist yourself!
Thank you, Sweets! I'm always glad that you enjoy these.
Thank you, Raven! There were so many good pictures posted in our community for yesterday, so I'm honored by your comment.
Thank you, Pink! 'Tis surely a day to be sentimental!
Thank you, MarQe! Back at you, my friend. I hope your day was wonderful.
Thank you, Poppy! No need for shame. I'll admit I was going for a bit of "shock value" with this photo along with the message.
Thank you all for your comments. I hope that you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day!

ReplyDeleteOn this Valentines Day this elderly gentlemen celebrated this LOVER'S DAT, by giving his mature wife, a rosy red knickers down bare bottom spanking.
